Mac World Expo 2012 is over and what to comment on the amazing display of technology combined beautifully with art, music and knowledge. This was an ultimate treat for ifans. Appreciating ‘APPLE’ every time with the bottom of my heart for having Macs, iOS, iPods, iPhones & applications.

There is time now when I realize that my Mac mini hard drive is suffocating due to presence of huge data onto it. I have spent some good time on areas where I can really make improvement that lasts and finally delivers the result which I am looking form.

To perform an entire clean up of my Mac, I choose to begin with my -

Desktop – The place need not be filled with too many icons making the user go mad looking around for something. Also, it doesn't makes a good look and feel of a system. My desktop is often bulging with too many application icons, games icon, office files, and software shortcuts. To make my drive go fast, I have to delete junk icons from it. It not only makes the appearance much better but also can increase the speed of a Mac system.

Trash-Bin – I usually add and remove so many applications, icons and folders. Downloads from the Internet like torrent files, dmg, zip etc are used and then move to trash-bin. This is a part of my daily activity which now needs my attention. Making a tour of the trash-bin folder helped me to see through my eyes what mess I have created over there. Applications – Being a Mac user, I always find myself involved with huge numbers of existing and growing Mac applications. Many of them are of my interest, but some of them simply don't need to be present on my system. The commonly problem faced by these Mac guys are 'OS X not proceeding with the start up and a blue screen appears' this blue screen is nothing but indicates a halt in the start-up. Causes of BSOD?

BSOD is often caused by system file corruption which is responsible for booting the OS X.
The startup items are damaged and not compatible.

Usually what I do is have it off and allow synchronization only when I go out to eat. In this way, my system slows down or becomes unstable while I'm working. To disable this service can go to the System Preferences window and choose Time Machine. There you will see a huge switch on and off. System Preferences–>Keyboard
Now click Keyboard Shortcuts tab
look for ‘Launchpad & Dock’ on the left column
Now from the right pane check the ‘Show Launchpad’ and double-click on the area where you will see assign shortcut keys.

Now press the keyboard key you want to make the short cut for.
Now close system preferences.

This is what I was sure of will make the short cut for the Launch OAD but this wasn't the case I tried to check the short cut I pressed the key assigned by me for the short cut and then the only think I got was “BONK”. This is the sound when you press the invalid key on Mac. I thought that the Lion’s new Universal Access features may have caused the error. I double checked the process I followed while assigning the short cut but all in vain every thing seemed to be fine. I wanted to fix the issue.

Now from the graphical representation you can adjust the partitions as per your requirements, you just need to use the drag widget in the lower-right of each partition to perform the partitioning or another way can be enter the size of the partition in gigabytes to partition.
